Creating a passion project should be fun. Don’t be put off doing your passion project. I realized me being in my fifties that I could have started a long time ago, painting, journaling, spending time taking photographs. Don’t make creating your passion projects into could haves and should haves. Here is a few prompts to start you on your way : –
- Journal all the reasons why you should start a passion project.
- What materials would you need to get started?
- Ask yourself what interests you?
- What about what interests you can you learn more about?
- What skills can you learn?
- What courses can you take?
- Who could be your mentors on your journey?
- Follow people on social media that can inspire you?
- Is your passion project a long time or short time project?
- How can you break up your passion project in smaller projects?
- Make bite size plans to action your project.
- Design and schedule to action your goals for your project. (Don’t throw away your time, every 30 minutes are important).
- Set a daily structure.
- Think of ways where you can share your passion project, be accountable to yourself.
- Commit to your project, even when the going gets tough.
- Try and try again until you succeed.
Don’t stress too much for everything too look to perfect. Enjoy the process, creativity and have fun that’s what a passion project is all about. It’s doing that something extra that is above the everyday normal routine. Give yourself a break when needed.
Remember all you need to do is start, everything started somewhere.
