journal prompts for reflection
Journal prompts are for reflection, to take with you on walks and telling your story your way.
Life can sometimes throw you a few curve balls, yet with writing (journaling) this can be the perfect tool to look at what’s happening in and around you objectively. Journaling your thoughts, letting it flow from your head to paper gives you the space to reflect, take a few steps back and think what your next steps will be.

I take a walk every day, some days I pick a prompt to take with me to think and mull on – asking myself the questions?

tips for journaling
- Create and make space to journal (some of us are morning people, some of us are night owls). If all else fails, pop it in your handbag and pull it out if you’re having a coffee in a coffee shop and write a few thoughts down.
- Your journal is for you, it needs to make you feel relaxed, not stressed
- Reflect on thoughts and feelings, your journal is not your to do list or what you did today
- Journal the way you want to journal, reflect a point on a walk, reflections through photography, journal through voice notes, doodle, drawing, it’s all journaling, telling stories your way
- Another way to journal, create your instagram profile and visualise your journey (obviously only sharing what you want to share, as some reflections are private)
- Create mind maps, go with the flow
- Don’t stress about having the perfect journal, use a scribbler
- Remember reflections are free form expression, don’t ever judge yourself
Take care – Debbera
