one step at a time
You always thought about what you’re passionate about, what you really want to do, now you’re at the point of taking the next step and asking yourself what now. Changing passions into projects, here are a few prompts to guide you into your next steps changing your passions into projects.
Stop thinking and start doing
One of the first steps that you need to take is stop thinking about your passion project and start doing. If you want to write a book, it starts with you to start up your computer, open a blank word document, start writing a synopsis, characters, plot lines. Join writer’s clubs, meet other writers, start a blog. The crux of the matter is to stop thinking and start doing what you’re passionate about.
This is the first step of your journey; you can’t start a passion project if you don’t move into the doing. It’s in the doing that moves you into your next iteration.
Ultimately the path you are going to create has to start with you.
Set your goals
Write down what you want to do, make yourself a vision board. Keep it somewhere you can see it every day. Brainstorm how you are going to achieve your goals, what do you need to make it happen. Ask yourself what you want your outcome to be, do you want to move your passion project from a hobby to a business or are you doing it for self-enjoyment. Regardless of your motives, the biggest step is to take action.
Give yourself an accountability partner
There is nothing as keeping you focused as an accountability partner, even if they don’t know they are. If you want to be a speaker join Toastmasters International to learn the art of speaking in front of a crowd. Do you love books, join a Book Club. If you want to get advice on your photography, join a photography club. Your options are endless. You get to meet people in your universe that give good advice and could inspire you living into the more. As you grow, your passions grow and before you see it, you have learned new skills that could move you into other iterations. Take that chance, you really have nothing to loose.
Make time for your passion project
It does not help if you know what you want to do set your goals, have your vision board and don’t do it. It is essential to set aside time for your project, even if you have to get up earlier in the mornings, or even set some time before you go to bed. Personally, I find it easier in the mornings, it works with my flow of things, the house is quiet, I can sit down, journal, paint, write and have time for myself. During the day, when I go on walks, have coffee mornings with friends, I have my camera in hand and you never know what wondrous beauty you can see. In all things it is to be prepared and keep your passion in front of you, this something that makes your soul speak.
This is your basic steps for moving from thinking about your passions, moving into your passions and doing your passions.
